After the Exposure

.2020 - ongoing

Exposure ends the moment. After the Exposure begins where the image continues.

After the Exposure begins where exposure ends. These works start as cameraless photograms. Botanical forms make the first contact with light-sensitive paper. From there, the image continues through layering, collage, scratching, and repeated exposure.

Each intervention becomes part of the image, preserving the memory of how it was made. The finished works record not only the subject, but also the process that brought the image into being.

Exposure is not an ending but the first moment in a longer act of making.

Unique photogram collages, gelatin silver prints on cotton paper with hand scratched surfaces.
